3. Security of other types of church property ?

This church has been standing in its present form for over 700 years. And the Parish has been in existence for 1280 years. All that time the church has (as far as we know) managed to keep an open door policy to its parishioners, providing a welcome to all folk.

And yet in recent years the Parish Council, like many up and down the country, have had to discuss whether this should end.

Open Door Policy at Churches

Why ?

Because of security. The church doesn't have much of value, but open doors can offer temptation in this day and age.

The Parish has carefully and prudently invested in security equipment. Still risks remained, especially the depiction of God looking down on Jesus in oil. But with the help of Euronova this painting is secure. Mr Keith Yeandel, responsible for the maintenance and security of the church says:

"The CrimeAlert™ Alarm is very sensitive and very, very loud. When we tested it is certainly loud enough to deter most and would definitely attract attention if taken. The other beauty of the alarm is its simplicity. It took about one minute to fit and set and all I have to do is change the battery in 2 years time and Euronova will even email me a reminder to me to do that".
